
Lisa Celia Balderston was born and raised in Southern California. She lives in San Diego with her husband, two sons and daughter-in-law. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from San Diego State University and completed her Master of Arts in Creative Writing and Literature from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She will be working toward her Master of Fine Arts in Playwriting at Hollins University in 2026. Currently, she is an adjunct professor teaching Diverse Voices of World Literature, Diverse Voices of Women Writers and An Analysis of Dramatic Writing at Literature at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Lisa is married to her college sweetheart, Matt, 30 years ago and they have two adult sons, Eric and Alex.
